There was a Japanese man during the raging civil war in Cambodia in 1972. In the intense gun battles, he ran to shoot not a “gun” but “photographs.” This young, 25-year-old, freelance photojournalist, Taizo Ichinose, fearlessly kept photographing the scenes of the battles based on his strong belief as a journalist. While he lived in Indochina, he came to be obsessed with shooting inside of “Angkor Wat,” the most sacred place, where it had been too dangerous to get in since the liberation army setup their headquarter in this glorious temples. No journalist even tried to sneak into it. After writing a letter to one of his friends in Japan, Taizo finally left for Angkor Wat alone. The letter said “I’ll bring some good pictures back to Tokyo. Or one step on a mine, it’s all over.” This is a documentary film of Taizo Ichinose, the brave journalist who could never come back from Angkor Wat alive. Original story of "One Step on Mine, It`s All Over. Production:TEAM OKUYAMA < URL : http://www.teamokuyama.com/taizo/ >
