STORY: In the mid-1950s, a temporary teacher from Hokkaido arrives at Mizumishiki Primary School, a remote school with only seven students. Though he is deaf and unable to speak, his passionate teaching and remarkable kendo skills quickly win over the hesitant adults. Initially doubtful, the local community grows to admire his dedication and caring nature. The children, inspired by his strength and resilience, give him the affectionate nickname "Mr. Locomotive," likening him to a powerful force that drives them forward.
As the school year unfolds, an unexpected incident deepens the bond between the teacher and his students. But when a new teacher is appointed, Mr. Locomotive must return to Hokkaido, leaving behind the school and the children who have come to love him.
