GENRE: Drama

STORY: Matsutaro, a retired high school principal, is consumed by regret after driving his wife to alcoholism and becoming estranged from his daughter due to his work-first mentality. Seeking redemption, he moves to a rural town to start anew.

In his new apartment, Matsutaro meets Sachi, a five-year-old girl living next door. She spends her days clinging to an iron fence, wearing cardboard angel wings, barefoot and dressed in a summer dress despite the winter cold. Her legs are covered in bruises.
Matsutaro tries to reach her, but Sachi remains silent and emotionless. At night, he hears violent arguments between Sachi’s mother and her boyfriend.

Unable to ignore the abuse any longer, Matsutaro takes Sachi on a journey to a place where he has cherished memories of happier times with his family.
