GENRE: Coming of age
Based on a manga by Shuzo Oshimi “Shino cannot say her own name”
STORY: Shino, a shy and isolated freshman, struggles to speak and stumbles over her own name, making her the target of ridicule. She unexpectedly finds a friend in Kayo, a tone-deaf guitarist with a passion for music. When Kayo hears Shino’s hidden talent for singing, together they form a band, practicing tirelessly for the school’s variety festival. However, Kikuchi, a boy in their class who once teased Shino decides he wants to join the band.
As the girls confront their insecurities and push past their fears, they take small steps toward growth and connection. Their journey, however is not without heartbreak.
A poignant coming-of-age story about friendship, self-acceptance, and the fleeting nature of youth.
