Sena Kuon is a university student living an ordinary life. His life changes when he receives a mysterious VR glasses and activates it. He finds himself surrounded in a deep forest and around him there are many players are looking up at the golden armor floating above their heads. Sena quickly realizes this is a VR game. Overwhelmed by the game’s realism, Kuon manages to clear the first stage by successfully escaping from a horrendous monster.
In this game, the winners are rewarded with great fortune, but something is deadly wrong. The winners are eaten up by their own greed and gradually gets hooked to the game. And it does not stop there. As they progress through the stages, the players realize that once they lose the game, they will also lose their lives in the real world. Surviving this game is the only solution. The players' fear and skepticism lead them into a battle for survival. The players are: bartender named Amour, a YouTuber named Nagumo, and a shop clerk named Kouzuki. As various thoughts swirl through their minds, something is absorbed by the golden armor. In the midst of all this, Kuon decides to challenge battle against the organizers of this game after facing a sad death of his best friend, Hoshiai.
The four survivors of the fierce last battle are: Kuon, Amou, Nagumo and Kouzuki. Kuon, Amou and Nagumo, who thought that the floating golden armor bound is the key to the game, goes against the rules in spite of Kouzuki’s opposition. Then the organizers of the game, Hagiri and Azami appears.
Evil ambitions, thoughts, fear, grief... this whole whirlpool of fear turns our that the true purpose of the game was to create a "Veil," from the "Dark Metal" generated by Garo's armor which holds the "Inga". Now, the evils amplified by the players spreads through the game uncontrollably. The veil surpasses even Garo, which is believed to be the strongest of all.
The four confronts the raging Hagiri, trying to prove the exitance of Inga to the world by using the veil. In the midst of all of this, Kuon tries to obtain the title of "Golden Knight Garo" with the help of heroic spirit, Eirei...
