STORY: Pepe is racing in the Vuelta a España, one of the world’s biggest cycling events, when he receives the news that he’s been dismissed from his job.
As the race continues, the course takes him through his hometown in Andalusia, where his brother is marrying his ex-girlfriend, Carmen. The bike they once fought over and the woman they both loved are now part of his past — a past he’d rather forget.
With regrets weighing on him and the ghosts of his youth resurfacing, Pepe questions whether he’ll ever find a chance to shine again as he pushes toward the finish line.
Kitaro Kosaka, the Oscar Winning animation director who brought you “Princess Mononoke”, makes his long awaited directorial debut for a feature animation.
