STORY: “Words possess a spiritual power known as Kotodama.”
Nagisa, a high school student from a seaside town, has believed in Kotodama ever since her grandmother first taught her about it as a child.
If you wish for something and keep saying it out loud, it will come true. But if you speak negatively, those words will manifest as reality. That is the essence of Kotodama.
One day, Nagisa stumbles upon an unused café called Aquamarine, where she discovers a small FM radio station tucked away in a corner. Feeling playful, she pretends to be a DJ. What begins as a harmless joke quickly turns into something unexpected – her voice is accidentally broadcasted live. Through her voice, Nagisa discovers a new world.
Alongside with her childhood friends and radio enthusiasts who heard Nagisa’s first accidental broadcast, they decide to launch ‘Radio Aquamarine’ for real. Through their voices, Nagisa and her friends will make a small miracle happen.
The spoken word holds a power that cannot be replicated by email or social media. In today’s world, it’s more important than ever to rediscover the strength that lies in the voice.
